Vintage USSR Folk Peasant Polish Female Rag Doll Blonde w/ Ruble Price Sticker. This is a Vintage doll. She is an Estate find for me, but I believe she was obtained in the 1980s.. Based on the price sticker still on the bottom, I would say she was bought in 1980. Her head is made of wood, and her face is handpainted. She has long blonde braids made of yarn. She wears hair decoration or crown of green yarn and flowers. Her clothes are made of woven cloth. Her arms are wired to be bendable / poseable. Her cape can be open or closed. I've shown both positions to demonstrate this. She measures approximately 7 1/2" Tall. From the research I have done she most resembles a Polish rag doll, but she could be Ukrainian as well, as both were part of the USSR at the time. She still has the original price sticker on bottom which shows Rubles / PY6. There is writing on top of label in brown oil pencil (I think) which is 06 or 90). Please see closeup for details.
