Jewelry & Watches / Jewelry Care, Design & Repair / Jewelry Cleaners & Polish
This vintage Romanoff Jewelry Polishing Tumbler from the 1960s was used for polishing jewelry by professional jewelry makers by tumbling them in a rubber container fill with polishing grits ( look like small nails) When plugged in it slowly continuously tumbles. The cord is in very good condition. The unit was very dusty from being stored and I did a quick wipe down to remove dust. It has spots of rust as shown. Because of its age I really don’t know if it needs any upkeep. For someone who knows what they are doing the inside motor, wires etc could probably use a cleaning also. The cover uses a spring loaded attachment which holds the sides on. It is quite heavy machine and does have all of its feet. Also the rubber parts feel soft not rotted. If I find a better shipping price from ups or FedEx I will use them instead of usps and refund any overpayment. I’d like to mention Romanoff jewelry makers supply company sells to jewelry makers and current prices for modern polishers range in the $600-$3000 range. Found that interesting. When I asked them about this machine they said “ Wow, that’s one of our very early polishing machines”.
