Vintage oil on canvas painting by very famous Polish artist Wojciech Kossak (1856-1942), the autor of many historical paintings depicting the Polish armed struggle against European oppressors. In this painting we see Polish uhlan ( light cavalry soldier) fighting Russian( Soviet) foot soldiers, during Polish-Soviet War of 1919-1920. Good condition for its age; some abrasions on the edges.
