Polish Officer Airborne Paratrooper Cap Eagle, Beret, Bullion
It doesn’t look like it was ever used. The pins don’t look like they’ve been bent more than once.
This was acquired through the estate of a veteran who was a colonel in the Air Force. He started out his career in Korea as enlisted, became an officer, worked his way up the ranks and retired as a full bird colonel. He was not a pilot but an expert paratrooper, free fall and HALO diver and over the course of his 40+ years of military service, he was a commander in the USAF Combat Control Team, earned medals on rescue missions, parachuted in dozens of different countries and collected Airborne insignia from all over the world. He had at least 3000 jumps as a member of the USAF.
He had, at one time, the largest collection of military insignia in the world.
