ODD SHAPED TRAPEZOID POLISHED LOOSE STONE FOR WRAP PENDANT

I do not know what kind of stone this is but it is interesting. When I purchased this it was wrapped in 18K gold wire (much to my surprise!) which I did sell during the gold craze days.  The shape is somewhat of a trapezoid. It has wonderful colorings with natural inclusions unique to this stone. The colors blend between neutral, tan, black and silver-ish grey. The top is cabochon smooth with rounded edges and a high polished shine. The back is flat and unpolished. It is in excellent condition.
