Meguiar’s Pro auto compound cuts super-fast with low swirls Meguiar’s M85 Mirror Glaze Diamond Cut Compound 2.0 is a super-fast cutting, low swirl compound formulated with body shop professionals in mind to removing heavy defects like scratches, acid rain, severe swirls and holograms, and up to 1200 grit sanding marks. Diamond Cut Compound has been successfully tested in high solids production shops and it powers through defects while being a low-dusting, low splatter, and body shop safe formula. This pro-grade auto body compound is safe and effective on all glossy paints including aftermarket, OEM, clear coats, lacquers, and enamels. Formulated specifically for use with a rotary buffer and is available in 32 ounce and 1 gallon size containers. Follow with Meguiar’s M83 Mirror Glaze Dual Action Cleaner Polish to further refine paint and enhance depth of shine before applying a wax or sealant like Meguiar’s M21 Mirror Glaze Synthetic Sealant 2.0. Applying Meguiar’s M85 Diamond Cut Compound 2.0 Shake product well. For use with a rotary buffer. Make sure the surface you are working with is cool to the touch. Work one section at a time. Set rotary buffer to approximately 1000-1500 RPM’s. Dispense a small amount of the auto body compound directly onto the paint. When working on uncured paint, apply the auto compound directly to buffing pad. Begin working in a 2’ x 2’ area with overlapping passes. Continue working until a light film remains. Wipe off residue before the product dries with a fresh, clean Meguiar’s Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel. Flip your towel to a clean side for a final wipe. Reapply the compound if you didn’t remove the defects with the first application. Apply the in sections like this over the vehicle. For best results, use on a standard rotary buffer with Soft Buff Rotary Backing Plate (WRBP) or Soft Buff Rotary Soft Backing Plate (WRSBP). Use a 7” Soft Buff Rotary Foam Cutting Pad (WRFC7), 8” Soft Buff Rotary Wool Cutting Pad (WRWC8), or Soft Buff Rotary Heavy Cutting Wool Pad (WRWHC7) depending on how much cut is wanted or needed. After using M85 Diamond Cut Compound 2.0 After removing the heavier paint defects with M85 Diamond Cut Compound 2.0, you typically need to follow with a less aggressive compound and pad. Follow with a less aggressive product like M83 Mirror Glaze Dual Action Cleaner Polish with a foam polishing pad like Meguiar’s 7” Soft Buff Rotary Foam Polishing Pad (WRFP7). If working with cured paint, follow with a wax or sealant like M21 Mirror Glaze Synthetic Sealant 2.0 with a finishing pad like Meguiar’s 7” Soft Buff Rotary Foam Finishing Pad (WRFF7).
