For auction is a beautiful cabinet vase made by Loetz
Klostermuehle of Bohemia which is now the modern day Czech Republic. The
pattern is called "Astraea or Astraa". This vase is a nice cabinet size as it stands 3 3/4" tall and has a
diameter of 2 3/8" at the bottom . The bottom of the vase that rests on the surface has a
diameter of 1 3/4". The very top lip has a diameter of 1 1/2" outside
measurement. A beautifully shaped vessel.I guess this would be consider a small cabinet vase and some would call it a miniature. The vase has an oil jar shape with thumbprints or dimples impressed into the glass. It has a raised neck that flares out slightly and has a fire polished rolled top lip. The vase is further decorated with orange/amber oil spots. These are executed on a clear base glass with a Candia (Gold) Silberiris iridescent background. The oil spots are round and elongated in shape and cover the entire vase. The gold iridescence is just outstanding as you can see brilliant gold's with platinum blues. The
vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks,
or chips. The piece is unsigned but there is no mistake as to the
maker of the vase as the décor is a well documented Loetz decor. It also has a conter sunk polished pontil. The finishing sign of a quality piece of art glass. Together with the fire polished top lip it is a
sweet cabinet piece worthy of the advanced Loetz collector. This is
a must for those who collect Loetz Art Glass. This is considered an
early piece of Loetz, circa 1899-1905. A wonderful piece of European art glass.PLEASE READ BELOW I want to apologize for slowing down my
shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July of 2020. I used to
get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would
be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my
fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the
payments . Because of this slowdown I
will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets
you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid
for. They are also n ow charging all sellers a commission of
12% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing
fee but Ebay has changed this to 12%. This is an increase of 9.1%
on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and
treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the
shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now
they are charging 12% commission on shipping as well. This has
raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my
shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is
doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your
opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their
policy.CLICK ON THIS LINK BELOW TO
