This necklace a stand-alone. The strand is approximately 31” in length- each free form bead is approximately 1/2 to 1” long and 1/2 to 3/4 “ wide. Makes a special gift for yourself, your beloved or a good friend. Hollie Ambrose has been showing her work in galleries and museums since 1970 Working primarily as a sculptor, Hollie’s small scale pieces morphed into whimsical brooches, necklaces and earring which garnered her international acclaim. Throughout the years her work has been published in Ornament, Metal Smith,American style, and Jewelry Artist. Hollies work has been exhibited around the world in shows curated by Gail Brown and Loyd Herman, sponsored by the NEA and circulated by International Center. Ambrose’s ever changing combinations of materials and thought provoking images has sustained her avid collectors including Wayne Thielbaud, the last Michael Jackson and Fritz Scholder, Elton John, Amy Carter, Ali MacGraw and Susan Sarandon Hollie’s work is crafted by combining vintage materials from all over the world with fabricated metals, vintage glass (late 1800s to 1970s) From China, Japan, Indonesia, India, Africa, Morocco, Germany, France, Italy and Czechoslovakia are often mainstay materials for earrings. Her work is in the permanent collections of The Racine Art Museum and The Fuller Craft Museum. Earring care. Make sure your backs are always tight before putting them on. Clean Gently with a damp cloth. To prevent breakage, sit or stand on a soft surface when putting them on or removing them. Don’t wear them around young children, aggressive cats and crazy people, or while dancin in or near a mosh pit 😊
