Much of Ukraine was owned by Poland from 1569 to 1918, and then Ukraine had a brief period of independence, until 1920 when Poland again ruled the western half until the 2 nd
World War. This paperwork comes from the estate of the Lerer family who immigrated to the United States and lived in Cincinnati. Ben Lerer was trying to get his mother out of Poland and into the US. What we have here are a couple of pictures of the family, a postcard written to Ben from his mom, in Poland, a great old picture of a man, who I think was his father, a picture of his mother and her passport, stamped with a date of May 27, 1921 for her entry into the US. The passport is Polish and has the Red Star Line Inspection Card tipped in. Eight pages, in the passport have stamps or writing on them. This is some fascinating stuff; I believe that Ben was a radio actor/personality. If you have any questions or need more pictures please let me know
Shipping will be by USPS First Class. International shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail. The buyer assumes all responsibility for insurance claims and, any return postage must be paid by the buyer.
