Danbury Clock Company Mahogany finish Desktop Clock, German Movement, EUC WHO AM I? I am a clock collector (and amateur horologist) among other things.  Collecting clocks, repairing them (and other things) is a hobby for me and my wife, and selling my excess is part of the hobby.  My wife and I are retired senior citizens and while we are not rich, making a living selling on Pricetronic is not a realistic objective . Making $5 or $10 for my time (can buy a meal at Burger King for that) is fine. All items I sell are typically items I would want for myself, or that other people might enjoy.  Some of the items have been in my collection. I consider myself an honest seller and I always try to thoroughly describe the condition of each item, as this item is not returnable for any reason. FEATURES OF THIS ITEM : I have up for sale a small Danbury Clock, with dark mahogany frame finish, sold by the Danbury Clock Company. Features of clock: 7.75" long

2 3/8" diameter optical window, Roman numerals , 16.5oz weight without batteries, Dark Mahogany outer frame  finish, Second hand , Quartz mechanism, brass/gold tone trim, Black tone hour and minute hands, Gold tone minute hand, Single N-type battery (not included) Clock mechanism/movement made in Germany, Clock and frame appear to be made and assembled in China. The frame IMHO is made of real wood.  I have no idea what type.  My wife and I argued over the stain color.  She said Mahogany stain.  I said Rosewood stain... maybe Cherry?   She wins because I'm color blind, but you as buyer look at photos and make up your own mine. ITEM'S CONDITION: Please carefully look at the pictures as they visually describe the clocks condition, sometimes better than words. The clock is in excellent plus condition, IMHO.  Shall I dare say it is close to NEW condition?  This clock has been recently tested for at least 24 hours and fully works.  It keeps excellent time being quartz controlled.  There are no ugly dents, cracks, or deep scratches on the frame or trim, IMHO.  The front window looks clear with no scratches.  There is no battery corrosion that I can see.  I can not tell if the front window is made of glass or plastic.  It has been my experience that tapping the surface and listening for sound is not always a reliable method to determine if material is made of glass or plastic.  The rear battery cover is missing however you can't ever see this when the clock is placed within the wooden frame.  The reason I am selling is because I have too many clocks. Because it is used, expect to see minor handling marks under very close inspection.
