Communist Poland Air Defense Forces Honor Pennant
Award Flag with RARE pre-1990 State Emblem, Eagle without Crown. This
is 100% GUARANTEED ORIGINAL item from the Communist era Poland, not a later
replica of souvenir! Measures
12” x 6 ¾” excluding the fringe. In synthetic silk, double-layer construction
with rubberized graphics and lettering vulcanized onto the fabric. Encased and
sealed in clear plastic. Hangs on a thin steel rod with a white metal chain
hanger. The
obverse features the red and white national flag colors and the state emblem
with the eagle. This is the pre-1990 “communist eagle”, without the crown. The
reverse features the emblem of the Polish Air Defense Forces, part of the
Warsaw Pact military. The lettering running around the emblem translates as “Air
Defense Armed Forces of the Country”. The vertical stripe in the middle is in
the colors of the national flag of Poland. In
EXCELLENT CONDITION. All the parts of the pennant – the silk background, the
rubberized graphics and lettering, the stitching holding the clear plastic, the
fringe, the hanging rod and chain – are in superb, near-mint condition. A
little bit of red has stuck on the inside of the clear plastic cover on the
obverse but this is all but invisible unless you pry the plastic away from the
pennant. Overall,
a fine and RARE addition to a collection of Polish memorabilia of the Communist
era! Please
note that the medal in our photo is for size reference only and is not part of
the sale. FREE SHIPPING (USPS Priority Mail) WITHIN USA ONLY! We WILL NOT ship our
Pricetronic items outside USA.
