Ornate POLISH Language Christmas Greeting / Gift Card Vintage c1910 - Paper-Lace Doily Embossed with Hand-Colored Red Roses & Mica Chip Trim c1910 paper lace POLISH LANGUAGE Christmas greeting / gift card. This wonderfully delicate embossed paper-lace "doily" card features (probably) hand-painted red roses, both flowers and buds, and blue wild flowers, accented with appliqué purple mica chips. Mica was banned on German postcards around 1910, because of health concerns. Measures 4-1/2" wide x 3" high . PHOTO NOTE: Photos sometime distort the clarity of the images and the intensity of the colors. The muted "grainy" look is generally a distortion. The colors are more vivid and the clarity greater when viewed in person. Minute defects are also often exaggerated by the scanning process, and many are barely noticeable when viewed in person. CONDITION: UNUSED BUT VINTAGE . PLEASE EXAMINE THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY. In excellent condition for its age – heavily embossed, with bright red roses and a very clear image. Card is unused and very clean. Three small spots of surface wear on the rose petals of both flowers . Tan cast may be original, although perhaps enhanced by age. No tears, or major structural damage, border appears largely intact. ANY FLAWS ARE OBVIOUS IN THE PHOTOS. Item ID: 29-0460 BF
