These are made on flat aluminum using a process called sublimation. The vibrant colors are fused to a polymer coating using heat and pressure. Polymers have a natural UV protection which will keep these license plates from fading and they will look great for years to come. These are NOT embossed or textured or raised in any way. They are smooth, glossy and maintenance free. They are made on durable, lightweight, 32 gauge aluminum. BEWARE: Some sellers will sell you very thin 20 or 25 gauge plates just to squeeze an extra $2 out of you for a cheaper product. Thank you for considering my items.
