This is an Incredible Massive(73ct) Cut Mintabie Dark Crystal Plate Opal. I cut this from rough material that was mined more than 35 years ago. The Mines sadly closed in 2019. It is unlikely that nowadays if could find rough of this size or quality you would pay less than 20000 an ounce. I certainly never planned on selling it. This price is less than field price, I know because, I checked my long tern Mates on the still open fields. I asked their opinion if what it would go for to a field buyer for cash. They all said $400 to $500 per Ct. I then asked have they seen anything like it available cut or rough that would cut a similar stone. The answer was No. This is my personal piece It would not even be Available except I have a Major Health Issues so I need the Money
