21.50ct RARE STRONG AMBER GOLD FACETED POLISH ZINCITE

21.50ct Extremely Rare Large Faceted Zincite. Cut in our lapidary from rough obtained long ago from an old estate and believed to be of Polish Origin. Zincite is a zinc oxide crystal that was produced accidentally and discovered in the vents of an antiquated zinc smelting plant in Poland. Zincite is among the rarest of all collector gems and possibly the most beautiful.  Generally considered to soft for jewelry, so if mounting extreme care must be used. Strong gold with amber hue, transparent, near eye clean with attractive face up. Custom pear cut approx. 22.03 x 12.21 x 7.87mm.
